Directions to the Shintaido Farm:
From Points East (Boston and Worcester): Take the Mass Pike to exit 4. From exit 4 get onto 91 North and follow the directions below.
From NYC or Connecticut: Find 91 North and follow the directions below.
From 91 North:
- Take exit 24 (Deerfield)
- Turn right at the end of the ramp
- At the traffic light, turn right onto Rte 116 (towards SunderlandAmherst)
- Go 1.4 miles, going straight through the traffic light. About .2 miles after the light, turn left onto River Road just before the blue bridge across the Connecticut River. If you cross the Connecticut River, you've missed River Road.
- Continue 6.3 miles on River Road, and the Farm will be on your left - the mailbox has flowers painted on it: 595 River Road.
From NH or Maine:
- Route 2 West to Turners Falls (a few miles before Greenfield)
- Turn left over the bridge on the main road into Turners Falls
- Continue straight through downtown Turners Falls on this road, which becomes (in order) Avenue A, then Montague City Road, then Cheapside Street, and crosses the Connecticut River back into Greenfield.
- When Cheapside meets Routes 5/10, make a hard left over the bridge over the Deerfield River on Routes 5/10
- Immediate first left on River Road after the bridge
- Out River Road about 2.5 miles. Our place, 595 River Road, is on the right.
